Kama

The Kama or Kai was a sickle used for harvesting crops and other farming purposes.

The shinobi used kamas to cut through bamboo fences. These fences would have clay applied to them. The Bansenshukai shinobi manual contains a folding version. There are various traditions that detail the use of some form of lubrication that muffle the sound of a kama sawing through a hard material.
