Obi

Obi (帯, おび) is a sash for traditional Japanese dress and part of kimono outfits. According to the Shoninki ninja manual it should be black, with two garments sewn together with slip stitches. This type of obi is called a waobi according to Natori Masatake, the author of the manual.
